Under a curtain of twilight, amid industrial scrubbers and the sound of distant shores, there exists a woman who creates in the in-between. Evelyn Ivankov is not just a Carbon Capture Specialist—she’s a contemporary alchemist, turning the world’s waste into hope, one molecule at a time. But her profession is only half the story.

The Woman Behind the Mask

Raised in the frostbitten outskirts of Vladivostok, Evelyn was taught early on that beauty exists in the most inhospitable of places. Her father, a Soviet engineer, encouraged her to view the world through a lens of levers and pulleys—"If you know which way to press, everything can be fixed," he said. Her mother, a poet and who disappeared one autumn night, encouraged a different understanding, Some things are best left unresolved.

Evelyn carries both truths in her bones.

The Capturing

By day, she captures CO₂ with labyrinths of steel and solvent, trapping gases into crystalline prisons. By night She wanders - the black sand beaches of Bali, the neon light drenched alleyways of Tokyo, the crumbling ruins of Carthage. Each destination says something - a certificated vial of air from the sands of a Dubai sandstorm, a polaroid of a singular tree in the Atacama, a splash of salt off the lips of a lover in Marseilles ("The best carbon sinks," she whispers to me, "are the ones that follow you back.")
