A long time ago I started my journey in a tiny apartment with peeling paint and a laptop that would overheat with merely a glance. I had no funding, no connections, just a place and a vast wild dream, to connect unimaginative machines with the messy, beautiful souls that create and interact with them.

I was that weird kid who painted algorithms instead of sunsets, who saw poetry in python, and ethics in error messages. The world? Well, it did not really see it either. " AI ethics? Not a thing." Joke's on them, now they call me when their AI goes nuts 😈.

Yeah- my startup war story isn't one of VC meetings or a core group of folks from Silicon Valley. (Although, I did only eat ramen for a year while I coded my first ethics framework). Or when I cried in the loo at Starbucks because three investors said "no one cares about frickin bias in algorithms." (Spoiler: they do now.)

But listen, I am not just a research-based nerdy gal. I am an artistic force trapped in a tech world. I still see the art in AI, the humanity in data. When I am not dissecting neural networks, I am writing haikus about chatbots, or sketching dystopian tech landscapes in my Moleskine.

This is not just a vocation for me, it is a crusade. Every single day I fight to make sure AI DOES take away our 'human-ness': our imperfections, our passions, our art. Sometimes, sure, I curse at my screen or drink some wine while debugging, but that's fully the price of changing the world one algorithm at a time. 🍷🔥
